Director of Financial Reporting

Director of Financial Reporting Location: Hybrid in San Diego (4 days/week onsite) Compensation: $150,000 - $195,000 + bonus About the Company A public company is seeking a Director of Financial Reporting to lead external reporting, technical accounting, and financial compliance initiatives. This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Opportunity Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual financial filings Oversee technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards Partner with external auditors and internal stakeholders to support audit and reporting activities Drive compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX requirements Enhance financial reporting processes, controls, and accounting policies Support complex accounting matters and disclosure requirements Mentor and develop accounting and finance team members Collaborate with finance, audit, legal, and operational teams across the organization Minimum Qualifications CPA required 8+ years of accounting, financial reporting, or audit experience Experience with SEC reporting and public company environments Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Public accounting foundation Experience with technical accounting and complex transactions Real estate industry experience Leadership experience managing or mentoring accounting professionals Exposure to SOX programs and external audit coordination The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company’s 401(k) retirement plan. #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
