Job Title Service Clerk - 441 So San Francisco Location: 249 KENWOOD WAY, SO SAN FRANCISCO, California, 94080, United States Starts At: $19.70 per hour Company Overview Smart & Final is a grocery warehouse store offering fresh produce, quality meats, and more than 3,000 club‑size items without a membership fee. Key Responsibilities Collect and organize shopping carts within the store and retrieve carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas. Assist customers with loading of merchandise into shopping carts and provide assistance for loading into vehicles. Check retail prices on shelves for check stand personnel. Pull merchandise from the check stand ("go backs") and return it to the proper shelf; walk aisles and return misplaced items; face merchandise as needed. Monitor cleanliness of store entrance (sweep, mop, pick up trash), including outside walkways and entrance/exit doors. Monitor overall store cleanliness during the day, sweep, mop, and restock restrooms as required. Maintain carts, assist customers with purchases, check prices, and handle return of merchandise to store shelves. Qualifications Read and write English; interact with public and co‑workers. Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos. Effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings. Apply common sense to carry out written or oral instructions. Regularly lift/move up to 25 lb, frequently up to 45 lb, occasionally up to 60 lb.
