Senior Director, IT Portfolio Management, Orthopedics

Define and lead the enterprise IT portfolio strategy aligned with business objectives, financial targets, and transformation priorities Establish and evolve the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office operating model, governance structures, decision rights, and standardized processes Manage portfolio budgeting, forecasting, cost transparency, business-case rigor, and ROI/value tracking Govern AI initiatives through structured intake, evaluation, and prioritization of AI use cases Drive transparency into delivery status, financial health, risks, dependencies, and benefits realization through executive reporting and metrics Provide enterprise oversight of programs and projects across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk Align portfolio priorities with enterprise capacity through resource planning, utilization, and trade-off decisions Lead IT portfolio governance for separation and transition activities, including Day 1/Day 2 objectives and TSA milestones Embed enterprise risk, cybersecurity, compliance, and financial controls into portfolio management processes Improve portfolio management processes, tools, analytics, and reporting Build, lead, and develop a high-performing portfolio management function Partner with executive business and technology leaders across IT and business stakeholders Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline (required) 12–15+ years of experience in IT portfolio, program, and project management leadership within complex, global organizations Proven ability to lead enterprise PMO/EPMO functions at scale Deep expertise in portfolio and program management frameworks, governance models, and delivery methodologies Strong experience managing large, complex, cross-functional programs and transformation initiatives Solid understanding of Agile, hybrid, and traditional technology delivery models Experience with enterprise IT financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and value realization tracking Ability to align technology investments with business strategy and measurable outcomes Strong financial acumen for executive-level investment decisions Excellent executive communication skills Track record of building, leading, and developing high-performing global teams Strong stakeholder management and influence skills across business and IT leadership Experience driving change, governance discipline, and continuous improvement at enterprise scale Fluent in English Up to 10–15% domestic and international travel as required Master’s degree or MBA preferred Relevant portfolio, program, or financial management certifications preferred Preferred experience in transformation, divestiture, operating model change, regulated or matrixed environments, global regions, life sciences, medical devices, healthcare, and tools such as Planview, ServiceNow, Clarity, or Azure DevOps Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in IT Portfolio Management, including governance, budgeting, and alignment of technology investments with business strategy.
