Operations Manager

MANAGER OF OPERATIONS The Manager of Operations is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing operational strategies that support organizational efficiency, service delivery, and continuous improvement. This position supervises operational staff, supports cross-functional collaboration, strengthens external partnerships, and helps ensure that programs, services, and resources are aligned with organizational goals. The Manager works with team members, community partners, and internal departments to identify operational barriers, improve processes, and support effective outcomes across the organization. Duties and Responsibilities Supervision Supervise and lead assigned operational staff, providing guidance, strategies, and resources to help them effectively meet organizational goals Establish and maintain a positive, collaborative, and productive work culture Facilitate a culture of learning among staff and community partners Organize team work sessions, interdepartmental updates, and other meetings as needed External Partnerships Initiate and maintain strong partnering relationships and communication with agencies, vendors, community organizations, and other stakeholders Communicate the value, goals, and impact of organizational services to community members and partners Facilitate connections among internal teams, external partners, vendors, and community organizations to support operational effectiveness Convene key stakeholders for collaborative planning Operations Implementation and Evaluation Monday - Friday; 7:30 am - 5:00 pm, with some weekends and altered hours for special events and declared emergencies - This is an onsite position with no availability for remote work. Provide vision and direction for operational projects, process improvements, and initiatives that strengthen service delivery Identify barriers to operational efficiency and explore creative ways to overcome challenges Plan and implement occasional training and opportunities for technical assistance for staff, partners, and stakeholders Stay current on research, trends, best practices, and innovative ideas related to operations management, service delivery, and organizational effectiveness Work toward benchmarks that improve operational performance and support meaningful, shared outcomes Coordinate collection and analysis of qualitative and quantitative program evaluation data from multiple stakeholders Consolidate presentation of qualitative and quantitative data for grant applications and reports Have oversight into assigned operational budgets, ensuring that resources are strategically allocated and responsibly managedCommunicate across multiple departments to support coordinated operations, shared priorities, and timely implementation Additional responsibilities as determined Budgeting and procurement work Qualifications Must possess Bachelors’ degree; Masters’ degree a plus Have a minimum of four years of experience supervising staff within nonprofit, social service, human service, operations, or related organizational settings Experience working with policies, procedures, compliance requirements, and applicable regulations Excellent writing and public speaking skills Highly organized and an ability to keep team members organized Proven ability to successfully handle multiple projects and meet critical deadlines Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Great attention to detail with an emphasis on accuracy and task completion Results-oriented and the ability to take initiative Ability to develop and deliver presentations to a variety of audiences Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to working with people from diverse social and ethnic backgrounds Willingness to adapt and adjust operational practices in the midst of change Possess and foster an attitude of collaboration for working with community organizations High quality customer service skills (exhibit objectivity, calmness, persistence, and helpfulness) Excellent computer skills required Available to work evening and weekends as needed Automobile and valid driver’s license are required.
