About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales for the Farm and Hardware division. This role is pivotal in leading a team of sales professionals to execute strategic sales initiatives, maintain critical business relationships with major farm accounts, and drive the overall business within the assigned categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire sales cycle, including listing management, promotional plans, and day-to-day activities. Additionally, the role involves leading cross-functional initiatives, providing competitive insights, and ensuring the profitability of the business by effectively managing budgets and OP plans. The VP of Sales will also be tasked with leading, managing, and developing a team with a focus on building departmental bench strength and attracting top sales talent. Applicants for the Vice President of Sales position at the company should have a minimum of 12 years of sales and/or marketing experience in the consumer goods industry, with a proven track record of achievement. A Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant field is required, with an MBA being preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong project and team management skills, the ability to lead business initiatives, and a background in construction tools and accessory products. The role demands a dynamic individual with the ability to multitask, manage deadlines, and respond to challenges with agility and effective solutions. The VP of Sales will be expected to travel nationally up to 50% of the time and must be adept at working in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
