Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for a Special Education Teacher supporting students in grades K–8. This role spans from August 2026 through June 2027 and offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule totaling 40 hours per week. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping young learners achieve their greatest potential while working in a collaborative and caring school environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ohio K–12 Intervention Specialist License (OH K-12 IS License)
- Strong knowledge of best practices in special education, including IEP development and classroom accommodation
- Proven experience teaching or supporting students with diverse learning needs in an educational setting
- Skilled communicator who collaborates effectively with colleagues, families, and support staff
- Organizational abilities to manage documentation, meetings, and student progress efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver differentiated instruction to meet the individualized needs of K–8 students on your caseload
- Develop, implement, and regularly update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and administrators
- Provide ongoing support, modification, and accommodations to foster an inclusive classroom setting
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate routinely with families and team members
