Staff Accountant

Role Description the Staff Accountant is a full-time hybrid role based in Lake Elmo, MN, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role of the Staff Accountant is responsible for operating with a high level of accountability and accuracy related to accounting functions within Bibliotheca. The Staff Accountant will perform general ledger accounting responsibilities to include month end close, monthly/quarterly account reconciliations, financial statement analysis. Key Responsibilities Assist in month-end closing process including preparation of assigned journal entries, accruals and/or deferrals for Canada & US Operations. Prepare monthly account and inventory reconciliations in alignment with GAAP, working closely with Supply Chain and the Controller. Prepare monthly account reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and departmental guidelines. Assist with the monthly financial statement reviews including variance analysis of assigned accounts. Document and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes. Complete monthly IFRS reporting package for Canada Manage multiple on-going projects as well as ad-hoc requests. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance accounting & management or other relevant degree High energy self-starter with the ability to take initiative with minimal guidance Solid communication skills both written and verbal. Strong Microsoft Office skills, with intermediate Microsoft Excel Must be a team player with the ability to maintain a positive attitude Working Conditions Work environment (Hybrid- In office days Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday. Remote workdays on Monday and Friday) Physical requirements (sitting for longer periods of time) Additional Responsibilities Strong analytical skills with the ability to make sound business decisions in a fast-paced situation. Positive, self-motivated, and committed team player with a proactive, “can-do” attitude. Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written- with strong grammar and spelling. Detail- oriented, organized, and methodical with a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Quickly learn new technologies, company products, and industry knowledge. Proven ability to manage projects collaboratively and meet deadlines effectively. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, financial formulas).
