Tier-1 Network Monitor/Help Desk Support

Position Overview Network Engineer Associate – Associate-level network engineer supporting the Air Force ISR mission at Langley AFB, VA. Job Responsibilities Provide 24/7 Tie-1 Network monitoring, operational support, and help desk services. Conduct fault management: detect, isolate, and correct abnormal network anomalies. Monitor all nodes for operational integrity. Respond to trouble calls, initiate and maintain trouble tickets and logs. Populate and examine trouble/error logs for troubleshooting and metrics. Provide technical support to resolve problems or to appropriately escalations. Administer network tools for troubleshooting and metrics trend analysis. Log network issues in the 480 ISRW system for trend analysis reports. Provide technical support in data network planning, engineering, and design. Report trouble calls to MCC in DOC and give hourly updates until resolution. Prepare quarterly metrics to the COR in a PowerPoint presentation. Qualifications Minimum 3 years of network operations experience. TS/SCI clearance, with ability to obtain. Shift work schedule required. Possess IAT Level II – Security Plus certification. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) TS/SCI clearance. Shift work flexibility. Three-year network operations experience. Security+ Level II (IAT). Location & Work Conditions Office: Langley AFB, VA. Travel less than 10%. Weekly hours: 40. Telecommuting: onsite only.
