Job Summary:
Candidates for the Registered Nurse (Med Surg) position located in Jackson, Michigan are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care within the medical-surgical unit. The nurse will utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, document care, and educate patients and their families. Effective communication of pertinent patient and family information to the healthcare team is essential. The position is on a 13-week contract for night shifts.

Job Details:

• Shift Time: Nights
• Schedule: 13-week contract with a 12-hour shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of previous Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) experience
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN)
  • Must bring license on first day
• Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience at a Trauma Level 2 facility
• Additional Information:
  • Candidates should demonstrate clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the designated unit/department.
  • Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services and communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
