This is a high-agency role reporting to the Director of People & Talent. You'll own your work, proactively spot what needs doing, and shape the experience for candidates and new hires alike. If you do your best work when things are moving and you're the one keeping them on track, this role is for you.NYC hybrid role: This role is 3 days per week in office on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, based in the New York City Metropolitan area reporting to the Director of People & Talent.Within the first month, you'll:Partner with Nova Recruiters to learn about Nova Credit's recruiting workflows, Greenhouse ATS, posted jobs, and hiring managersOwn scheduling and rescheduling across multiple concurrent active searches with accuracy and minimal oversightStart reviewing inbound applicants for high-volume rolesShow up as the face of our NYC office for new hires, greeting people on day one, handing out keycards, giving office tours, and setting the tone for what it feels like to be a NovanWithin the first quarter, you'll:Be trusted to keep Greenhouse clean and current with stage updates, dispositions, and data integrityIndependently solve increasingly complex recruiting challenges, knowing when to escalate and when to drive decisions autonomouslyHave made at least one meaningful process improvement that's helped the team with efficiency or quality improvementsBuild a reputation with hiring managers and teammates for being clear, prompt, and dependableHelp with onboarding and offboarding logisticsTake on payroll and people ops admin support with reliability and discretionWithin six months, you'll:Learn Nova Credit's business model, product suite, competitive landscape, and unique value propositionBe a true partner to the business beyond the People & Talent team by establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand our company culture, values, and what makes exceptional NovansDrive process improvements and contribute to recruiting team initiatives that enhance our hiring efficiency, candidate experience, new hire experience, data hygiene, or other People Team initiativesAdvise on coordination best practices, and contribute to shaping Nova Credit's recruiting culture and standardsEmbody Nova Credit's values in how you show up every day, for your teammates, candidates, and the people walking through the door on their first dayYour skillset:2-3+ years of experience in a recruiting coordination, people operations, HR, or administrative support roleATS Proficient: Hands-on experience with an ATS (Greenhouse ideally) and comfort learning new tools quicklyFast & Accurate: You get energy from a full plate, enjoy working with time pressure, and take pride in turning things around quickly without sacrificing accuracy. You're comfortable making quick judgment calls, course-correcting as you go, and keeping multiple balls in the air.Systems Thinker: You are naturally curious about how things work, quick to spot inefficiencies, and proactive about building or suggesting improvements that make the whole team fasterSharp Eye: You catch what's missed and hold yourself to a high bar on data integrity and follow-throughTrusted Discretion: Reliable handling sensitive information, including payroll and people ops dataDirect Communicator: You are warm with candidates, crisp with hiring managers, and confident enough to push back when needed. We consider all elements of compensation to be a part of the value we provide to Novans. This may include base salary, equity grants, incentive compensation for eligible roles, professional development, flexible PTO, and tenure rewards.
