Veterinary Assistant

At VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists, we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our Surgery Team.

Salary: $22 - $28 / hour

Schedule: Full-Time, 4x10-hour

Location: 3021 Edinger Ave, Tustin, CA 92780

We believe in high-quality veterinary medicine and patient care, and making that happen through dedication and learning. The position is for four 10-hour shifts. This will include at least one weekend day. Duties will include:

• Maintaining medical records.
• Preparing for and performing procedures and treatments.
• Preparing medications and prescriptions.
• Communicating in person and on the phone with clients.
• Performing laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Assisting in procedures.
• Providing compassionate care and a home away from home for hospitalized pets.
• Assisting in other areas of the hospital, as needed.
