CNC Operator

CNC Machine Operator (Mills or Lathes) – 1st or 2nd Shift ERA Industries | Elk Grove, IL ERA Industries is hiring a CNC Machine Operator to run CNC mills and/or lathes in a production machining environment. This role is ideal for someone who can read blueprints, hold tight tolerances, and complete first article inspections. Shift Options 1st Shift: 6:00am – 4:00pm 2nd Shift: 6:00pm – 4:00am Responsibilities Operate CNC mills and/or lathes to produce precision parts Read and interpret blueprints , work instructions, and job travelers Perform first article inspection and in-process checks using basic measuring tools Verify parts meet print specs and quality requirements Load/unload parts, change tooling as needed, and keep machines running efficiently Document inspection results and report any issues to the lead/supervisor Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area Requirements Experience operating CNC equipment (mills or lathes) in a manufacturing environment Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances Comfortable performing first article inspections Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges Reliable attendance and ability to work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule Preferred Qualifications Experience running both mills and lathes Basic knowledge of offsets/tool adjustments Previous work in a high-mix or precision machining environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
