That's the real meaning of studio-to-street: taking the consciousness from practice on the mat and putting it into practice in life.Overview:The Senior Technical Designer is a lead role in the garment fit and tailoring arena of the brand. Your technical expertise will be used in fitting base size models. You will also fit full size runs and be responsible for correcting the fit in multiple ways from Proto 1 all the way to PP (Pre-Production Fit.) Extensive experience in the fit room is a must.After fitting, draping, and tailoring Alo designs on our standard models, the data derived from the fittings will be used to effectively communicate to the technical garment changes/ updates to various vendors we collaborate with globally.Responsibilities:Comprehends Drape and Performance of FabricApproves Final Fit and Grading for ProductionComprehends Trim Performance, Sizes in Ligne, and SourcingAssembles Notes with Garment AdjustmentsCan Create Comments in Adobe IllustratorCan Implement Comments in PLMLead Fittings and Fit DirectionLead Sewing Assembly Discussion for Garment ConstructionAttend Weekly Touch Base MeetingsPLM Data Pulls Regarding Spec, Style History and Data ImplementationOrganizes Racks and Samples For Their Work Queue By PriorityRecap Fittings with Designers During Proto ReviewEmbodies The Right Team Player AuraQualifications:10+ years working as a technical design expertA degree in fashion or another field relating to fashionCan juggle the responsibility of many styles from multiple seasons at one timeExperience with sewing and garment patternsPLM, Adobe Suite, CLOExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPin and fit with seasoned hands while having a comprehensive fabric education regarding knit and woven fabric performanceThe base salary range for this position is $110,000-$125,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company's total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
