In this vital role, you'll be the key link between patients, providers, and specialist offices — ensuring seamless care coordination and an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities: Process and manage patient referrals to specialists, ensuring timely authorization and scheduling Verify insurance eligibility and obtain prior authorizations as required by payers Communicate with patients, physicians, and specialist offices to coordinate care transitions Maintain accurate and up-to-date referral records in the electronic health record (EHR) system Follow up on pending referrals and authorizations to prevent delays in patient care Respond to patient inquiries regarding referral status in a professional and timely manner Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with managed care guidelines Requirements: 1+ years of experience in medical referrals, prior authorization, or healthcare administration Familiarity with insurance verification, managed care, and HMO/PPO referral processes Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and medical office software Strong knowledge of medical terminology and ICD/CPT coding basics Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first attitude Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus in the South Florida market About Us: MONTESOL MEDICAL CENTERS LLC is a trusted healthcare provider serving the West Palm Beach, FL community with a commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care.
