Description - Key Responsibilities

• Conduct both standard and intricate laboratory assays-spanning chemistry, hematology, immunology, and more-adhering to established guidelines.
• Evaluate findings for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and perform regular maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment.
• Support the specimen collection process and efficiently prepare samples for analysis as necessary.
• Keep meticulous records of all procedures, assist in training new personnel or students, and ensure the highest lab quality standards are maintained.
• Foster a clean and safe working environment while complying with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Educational Background

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or a comparable allied health degree, in addition to preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment.
