Cost Accountant

Imperial is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support cost accounting, inventory reconciliation, and month-end reporting across our manufacturing operations. This role will be focused on inventory accuracy, cost processes, inventory valuation, cycle count support, and reconciling inventory activity betweenDeposcoand NetSuite. This is a strong opportunity for an accounting professional with solid reconciliation skills who is looking to grow into a deeper cost accounting role within a manufacturing environment. This position reports directly to the Controller. Full Time Location: Bourbon, Mo. WhatYou’llbe Doing Support cost accounting and inventory reconciliation processes across Imperial’s plant operations Reconcile inventory activity betweenDeposcoand NetSuite, with a strong focus on inventory accuracy Assistwith inventory valuation, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes Support month-end close activities, including cost accounting reports, inventory reporting, and account reconciliations Helpmaintainstandard costing processes, including labor rates and other cost inputs Research and resolve inventory discrepancies by working with finance, inventory, warehouse, and production teams Prepare reporting related to inventory, cost activity, and manufacturing accounting Support internal and external audit requests related to inventory, reconciliations, and cost accounting Partner with manufacturing operations as needed to understand inventory movement and production activity Follow established accounting processes, controls, and reporting standards What We Need 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to cost accounting, inventory accounting, or manufacturing accounting Strong reconciliation skills with the ability to research discrepancies andmaintainaccuratefinancial records Experience supporting month-end close, reporting, inventory valuation, cycle counts, or audit requests Deposcoexperience is a plus Strong Excel skills and comfort working with financial and inventory data Manufacturing experience preferred, but notrequired High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, inventory, and production teams Self-starter who is eager to grow and develop, while also being able to follow established processes and controls Comfortable working with auditors and providingaccuratesupporting documentation Willingness to work onsite in Bourbon, with light travel as needed Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time while working at a computer or workstation Ability to use hands and fingers tooperatestandard office equipment, including computers, phones, and keyboards Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and via electronic communication Occasional ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Ability to move throughout the facility, including walking, bending, and reaching as needed Visual acuity sufficient to read screens, documents, and reports Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role.
