Build community Position Summary: This position provides project management, engineering, and inspection support for pipeline integrity initiatives across TAPS, overseeing inspection, repair, replacement, and compliance-related projects from planning through completion. The role coordinates with internal teams and contractors to ensure work is completed safely, meets regulatory and technical standards, and supports the long-term reliability and integrity of pipeline assets. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Works closely with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and third-party contractors to develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans.
- Coordinates project activities in the field and helps remove barriers that could impact safety, quality, cost, or schedule.
- Provides technical oversight for integrity and inspection-related work. This includes reviewing work packages, inspection records, contractor deliverables, and supporting documentation to ensure work is completed in accordance with Alyeska requirements, applicable codes, and regulatory obligations.
- Supports the inspection program by coordinating with inspection contractors, participating in field assessments and reviews, and helping maintain the processes and documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance. The position serves as a resource for both field personnel and engineers on inspection and integrity-related matters.
- Supports work associated with tanks, piping, pressure vessels, coatings, cathodic protection systems, and other pipeline and terminal assets. Responsibilities may vary based on business needs but generally include project development, contractor coordination, field implementation support, risk management, and turnover of completed work.
- Helps identify future integrity and inspection needs and develop projects to address those needs. This includes working with stakeholders to prioritize work, define scope, develop cost estimates, and build execution plans that support long-term asset reliability and regulatory compliance.
- Maintains regular interaction with contractors, subject matter experts, and field personnel. Reviews work for quality and completeness, supports contract compliance efforts, and helps ensure inspection and integrity activities are executed safely and effectively.
- Other duties as assigned
- Ten (10) or more years of experience in project management, engineering, inspection, integrity, maintenance, construction, or related technical disciplines supporting industrial facilities, pipelines, terminals, or oil and gas operations. Field experience and a strong understanding of how work is executed are highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of asset integrity and inspection principles. The successful candidate should be comfortable reviewing inspection results, evaluating equipment condition, and turning technical findings into practical work scopes and executable project plans.
- Working knowledge of the codes, standards, and regulatory requirements associated with the transportation and storage of oil and gas. Familiarity with inspection, maintenance, repair, and reliability programs is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, contractors, and field personnel. This role requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to build productive working relationships across the organization.
- Ability to review and interpret technical documents, drawings, specifications, inspection reports, engineering packages, and contractor deliverables. Candidates should be comfortable making recommendations, resolving issues, and driving work forward.
- Experience overseeing contractor activities and supporting field execution. Familiarity with quality requirements, contract compliance, work planning, and performance tracking is important.
- Ability to work independently and perform successfully in team environment.
- Current TWIC credential.
- Current Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Experience managing integrity-related projects involving tanks, piping, pressure vessels, facilities, or pipeline assets.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Project Management Professional (PMP), API, AMPP, ASNT, or other relevant technical certifications.
- Experience working in regulated pipeline, terminal, refining, petrochemical, or other heavy industrial environments.
- Familiarity with Alyeska standards, work management processes, and applicable industry codes and standards.
- Experience supporting audits, assessments, regulatory inspections, or compliance programs.
