Manufacturing System Engineer

Salary: $97,000 - 137,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Ability to pass a federal background check and obtain a suitability determination
• U.S. citizenship
• Must have lived in the United States for at least 3 of the last 5 years; military service and study abroad count
• Project management experience and proficiency
• Knowledge of Agile software development methods and change-control technologies
• Thorough familiarity with product development lifecycles and experience with multiple methodologies
• Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes and standard operating procedures
• Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with relational databases and SQL Server 2012 or later
• Ability to mentor peers, assess technical alternatives, and recommend solutions to management
• Effective communication skills, including explaining technical concepts to nontechnical audiences
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain the confidentiality of information in operational databases
• Ability to use computers and software typically required by the department

• Serve as systems engineer for manufacturing processes and operations
• Carry out manufacturing system modifications as directed by the Lead Process Engineer
• Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation
• Model manufacturing processes and information infrastructure, and recommend process or software improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
• Work with Methods and Procedure Support, Industrial and Process Engineering, and IT teams to implement manufacturing changes and improvements
• Develop or modify code to meet manufacturing systems requirements
• Establish and implement coding and unit-testing standards for manufacturing and operations
• Coordinate code releases, quality assurance, and testing for manufacturing and operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
