At Excelitas Technologies you are how we EXCEL.We are currently seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer who will design and model tooling and equipment to support optical fabrication and coating processes.Main Responsibilities:Works with internal customers to ensure clear understanding of mechanical requirements.Self-starter, capable of managing own time on multiple, parallel projects.Conducts and coordinates analyses to assess and validate product designs and processes.Supports NPI Technical Lead to ensure manufacturability of new designs.Design tooling to support production of precision optics.Leads or supports design reviews and discipline-specific peer reviews.Other tasks as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
