Picture your day: a quick walk across the shop floor to a new assembly cell you’re commissioning, a stand-up huddle with production and maintenance to keep equipment running like-new, a vendor call to compare proposals, then an afternoon refining CAD models and drafting visual work instructions. As the Manufacturing Process Implementation Engineer, you lead capital projects that elevate safety, quality, throughput, and cost performance—while partnering closely with engineering peers, production, quality, purchasing, planning, and maintenance.

What You’ll Do

• Own implementation of new processes, new equipment, and new assembly systems as the project lead.
• Audit equipment, operations, and procedures to uncover improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
• Evaluate vendor proposals and support purchasing decisions for new equipment and systems.
• Select and implement manufacturing processes using modern organizational principles to achieve competitive cost.
• Apply continuous improvement to optimize existing and new processes; reduce scrap, rework, and cycle time.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance to sustain like-new equipment performance.
• Specify tools, jigs, and fixtures to enable robust, repeatable production.
• Coordinate projects and tackle daily troubleshooting to keep execution on track.
• Develop processes and create clear Visual Work Instructions.
• Provide hands-on production support and process troubleshooting.

What You’ll Bring

• Minimum 2 years driving capital project implementations involving new equipment and/or equipment systems.
• CAD proficiency required; experience with AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, and SolidWorks/Creo is a strong plus.
• 2–4 years of engineering project experience in a metal manufacturing environment preferred.
• Solid knowledge of relevant equipment/systems, engineering principles, and procedures.
• Applied experience in Lean, capability studies, process mapping, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong general computer literacy.
• Ability to communicate effectively across functions and levels.
• A continuous improvement mindset and commitment to world-class performance standards.

Education

• BS in Material Science, Mechanical, Welding, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or combined related experience; OR 6 years of equivalent experience with demonstrated knowledge in the field.
• Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.

Physical Requirements

• Sustained periods of sitting and standing, manual dexterity, stooping, bending, and minimal lifting.
