About the Position

Job Title: Occupational Therapist Profession: Therapy Specialty: Occupational Therapy Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 08:00 - 16:00 Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active KS Licensure Certifications: BLS Preferred Description: This position is for a travel Occupational Therapist. The daily census includes approximately 250 active consults. The staff consists of 30 members with a full-time equivalent of 17.29. The unit has a 2:1 ratio of Occupational Therapist to Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Typically, each Occupational Therapist has 8-10 patients assigned per day. The equipment used is general acute care durable medical equipment. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of acute care hospital experience. Candidates without this experience will not be considered. It is essential to have good communication and collaboration skills. Flexibility is required due to the nature of practice in acute care. The best candidates will be able to work independently with minimal oversight. The team operates in a complex acute care environment with a diverse range of diagnoses. There is a collaborative atmosphere with flexible scheduling options available. Staff enjoy a significant amount of autonomy in patient care planning. The interdisciplinary team works together to meet patient and community needs.
