Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Medical Records & Front Office Coordinator to join our healthcare team. This role is responsible for managing patient records, supporting front office operations, and providing exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, organize, and securely manage patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process medical records requests, releases, and documentation accurately and timely.
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to patient inquiries.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and complete registration processes.
- Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff.
- Scan, upload, and update documents within the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office experience preferred.
- Previous experience in medical records, healthcare administration, or front office coordination.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and medical records management practices.
- Proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
