Facility Technician

Facility TechnicianNBCUniversal is looking for a Facility Technician! In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance and repair of building envelopes, systems, equipment, grounds and infrastructure. You will troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, conduct preventative maintenance, respond to service calls, escort vendors on site, and collaborate with contractors to ensure the facility operates efficiently, remains safe and is compliant with all regulations.What You'll Do:Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, including critical infrastructure, to ensure continuous, efficient, and safe operationsMonitor building automation systems (BAS) to optimize energy use, systems performance, and maintain comfortable environments for employees and guestsAddress and resolve building system failures in a timely manner to minimize disruptionsRespond to service requests and emergencies during and after business hoursConduct site inspections and meter readings as requiredComplete preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work orders assigned through the CMMS and mobile platformMaintain accurate records of maintenance activity, equipment performance, repair history, and costs in the CMMSWork closely with the Asset Management team to ensure assets are tagged and data is accurate in the Master Asset ListParticipate in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOP) and key performance indicators (KPI's) with Facility Operations and the Asset Management teamOversee and support vendor and 3rd party contracted services.Schedule and coordinate service calls with internal teams and external vendorsPartner with NBCU departments to ensure compliance and safety tasks are addressed promptlySupport emergency preparedness initiatives and attend drills and exercises related to fire, disaster response, and business continuityAdhere to OSHA, ADA and other regulatory requirementsSupport Facility Operations and support teams with event set-upsInterior & exterior painting and general carpentry tasks as neededAttend bid walks and assist with project oversite when requiredOther duties as assignedLet's Talk About You:Cool Under Pressure – You handle stressful situations with ease and professionalism while juggling multiple stakeholders and competing prioritiesCommunicates with ease – You have a way with words; written and verbalTech-savvy – You are an MS Office whiz and can take on new software with easeWhat You Have:High school diploma or equivalent required;3+ years of experience in building engineering, facilities management or a related field or equivalentUnderstanding of Class A commercial building operationsDemonstrated proficiency with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building automation systems (BAS)Knowledge of applicable building codes, safety standards, regulatory requirements, and energy efficiency practices.Valid state Class C Driver's LicenseWhat Would Make You Stand Out:Associates degree or technical certification in building systemsStrong troubleshooting and diagnostic skillsRelevant trade license or certifications (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, low voltage)EPA Universal Certification for refrigerantsUnderstanding of Class A high rise operations and REG 4Additional Requirements:Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.Ability to work flexible hours and travel as neededThis position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
