Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviewing medical histories and performing necessary assessments to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Communicate evaluation results and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, ensuring collaborative goal-setting that engages all stakeholders in the healing process.
• Implement and monitor treatment protocols derived from evaluation findings, adapting them as necessary to align with changes in patient condition and advancements in the healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes, ensuring documentation reflects any modifications to care plans and recognizing when additional medical consultation may be required.
• Oversee discharge planning, ensuring a smooth transition, and providing follow-up care recommendations. Maintain meticulous records of patient care activities including evaluations, progress notes, and summary reports.
• Exhibit effective time management skills to meet productivity benchmarks and manage patient schedules efficiently.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Ability Rehab PT, your primary focus will be on orthopedic rehabilitation for a diverse patient population. Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) in Virginia.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Certification in CPR.

Preferred Experience

• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation standards.
