Travel RN - Med/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical/Surgical position at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital in Springfield, IL, requiring PICC line management and IV start experience. Requirements Active Illinois (IL) RN license required Active BLS certification required (AHA or Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards are not accepted) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required PICC line management experience required Experience starting IVs required Willingness to care for trach and laryngectomy patients (experience not required, but must be willing to learn) SSN and DOB required for consideration Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler Responsibilities Acute care hospital setting — Level I Trauma Center and Magnet-designated facility with 562 staffed beds Medical/Surgical unit assignment Day shift schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 hours (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) Patient ratio is typically lower but may reach up to 1:7 at maximum capacity PICC line management performed on this unit Charting via Cerner (experience preferred) Every other weekend required; if RTO falls on a scheduled weekend, an additional makeup weekend will be required No on-call requirements Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital is required of all travelers Local candidates are accepted with no radius restriction First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must be willing to care for trach and laryngectomy patients; training provided for those without prior experience Scrub color: any solid color Parking permit required at no cost; form completed during orientation Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Only 1 winter holiday may be requested off; all RTO is subject to manager approval based on unit scheduling Travel pairs are not accepted at this facility Hospital does not accept travel pairs — candidates must apply individually Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr
