• To be considered for this role, candidates must have experience managing 65 to 80 calls daily in a high-volume call center, scheduling, or patient access environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with scheduling appointments over the phone and via email.
• Obtain insurance information, referral forms, and other required documentation from patients.
• Counsel patients on financial assistance options and insurance-related matters.
• Schedule and register patients remotely with no direct patient contact.
• Communicate with physicians and clinical staff regarding urgent scheduling requests and referrals.
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information during the registration process.
• Review and maintain scheduling accuracy for new and existing patients.
• Contact patients with appointment reminders and obtain any required insurance or referral information.
• Support patients with insurance-related questions regarding billing and payment responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High-volume inbound/outbound call experience (65 to 80 calls per day).
• Patient scheduling, registration, or healthcare customer service experience.
• Insurance verification and referral processing experience.
• Knowledge of medical billing practices and financial assistance programs.
• Strong communication, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with electronic scheduling systems and patient reminder platforms.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
