Education High school or equivalent (GED). Certification, Registration & Licensure None. Experience Phlebotomy training with a completed externship preferred. Phlebotomy experience in a healthcare setting , clinical support experience in specimen processing preferred. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, able to relate well with clients in a professional and compassionate manner, able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to perform in emergent or crisis situations. Responsibilities Obtains and processes venous and capillary blood samples required for laboratory analysis from patients of all ages upon request. Processes clinical specimens for delivery to laboratory departments and for pick-up by reference laboratories (when applicable). Performs all duties within assigned work blocks. Demonstrates compliance with corporate, departmental and job-specific requirements. Assists in the preventative maintenance and disinfection within the Specimen Processing area. Concord Site only: Travels to off-site locations for the purpose of phlebotomy collections. Performs other duties as assigned. Concord Hospital is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
