Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Histotechnician to support laboratory operations through high-quality tissue preparation and staining techniques. This role is critical in ensuring accurate sample processing and supporting pathologists and research teams in a fast-paced lab environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
- Section tissue using microtomy techniques to produce high-quality slides
- Conduct routine staining, special stains, and IHC/IF procedures
- Perform whole slide imaging and scanning
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functionality
- Follow quality control procedures and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with pathologists and research scientists on ongoing projects
- Hands-on experience with microtomy
- Experience with FFPE tissue block sectioning
- Associate degree in Histotechnology or a related field
- ASCP certification as Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) , or eligibility to obtain certification
- Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques
