Job Overview A law firm seeks an associate attorney for its Las Cruces, NM office. The firm specializes in general civil litigation, commercial litigation, real property disputes, construction law, trust and estates litigation, probates, personal injury, and family law. Opportunities exist in diverse legal areas, including appellate briefings and administrative hearings. Duties Conduct legal research and writing Review legal documents Engage in discovery processes Participate in depositions Present oral arguments Attend motion and merits hearings Represent clients in trials Negotiate settlements and alternative dispute resolutions Requirements 0-1 year of work experience Education Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school Certifications Admission to the New Mexico State Bar Skills Experience as a practicing attorney or judicial clerkship preferred Law school clinic experience Moot court participation Fluency in Spanish Benefits Health insurance stipend of $500 per month Retirement stipend of $300 per month Scaled bonus based on additional realized billable hours Relocation expenses available upon request #J-18808-Ljbffr
