About the Role

The Company is in search of an Associate Provost for Cooperative Education and Professional Studies to play a pivotal role in advancing the institution's mission. The successful candidate will be a senior academic leader with a visionary approach, dedicated to expanding high-impact, career-connected learning opportunities for all students. This includes providing strategic vision and operational leadership for cooperative education, internships, and professional studies programs that enhance student success, workforce readiness, and community impact. The role involves close collaboration with academic colleges, faculty, staff, and external partners to design and sustain experiential learning pathways that are accessible, equitable, and aligned with the needs of students and employers. The ideal candidate will champion a culture of applied practice, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful engagement with industry, nonprofit, and public-sector partners. Candidates for the Associate Provost position must have a strong background in progressive leadership, with a minimum of 5 years' related administrative experience, and a deep understanding of cooperative education models, internship structures, and high-impact educational practices. The role requires a commitment to student success, inclusive excellence, and the ability to recruit and retain diverse students, faculty, and staff. Essential functions include strategic leadership, program development, partnership and employer engagement, and operational and administrative leadership. The candidate should also have a proven track record in budget planning, management, and fiscal responsibility, as well as experience in fundraising, grant-writing, and supporting entrepreneurial innovations. A commitment to continuous improvement, shared governance, and transparency in decision-making is essential, as is the ability to work with the provost and other university administrators to address the challenges and opportunities in the changing landscape of higher education.
