Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This is a night shift position that requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Weekend Requirements: Yes, at least every other weekend
• Floating: Yes, the position may float between units based on skill sets
• On-call Requirements: No
• Expected Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
• Special Requirements: Must have a vehicle for this assignment
• Orientation Hours: To be determined

Job Responsibilities

As an ICU RN, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring and managing patients with acute and critical conditions
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Performing advanced nursing procedures and interventions
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
• Educating patients and families on treatment plans and health maintenance

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience required
• Certifications:
  
  
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • CCRN (preferred)
• Skills Required:
  
  
  • Acute Care Skills (e.g., Ventilator Management, Blood Product Administration)
  • Ability to interpret clinical data and act on it
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Patient Care Details

This ICU provides care for adult patients with complex needs, including:

• Continuous monitoring of vital signs and laboratory results
• Management of invasive lines and devices
• Support for critical care interventions such as ECMO and CRRT

Additional Information

This position requires flexibility, as travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. Travelers' refusal to float may affect assignment continuity. Candidates must possess a compact state nursing license before applying.
