Job Overview We are currently seeking an FP&A Analyst with strong financial analysis skills and a particular emphasis on building effective financial models to support confident business decision‑making. The ideal candidate will have experience in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, along with a solid foundation in accounting and finance. This role will be responsible for forecasting, analyzing, and reporting the company’s financial performance, focusing on reviews and recommendations to achieve sales growth and maximize profitability within market conditions, supporting the achievement of the strategic objectives of the company’s four business units: land investments, property development, home building, and property management. Key Responsibilities Forecast revenue and costs with a rolling 12‑month and 4‑quarter performance model. Conduct gross profit analysis by business unit, evaluating trends and identifying key issues and opportunities for improvement. Create and maintain department overhead budgets and monitor compliance with review and approval of changes and exceptions. Support the development and maintenance of company‑wide comprehensive financial models used for cash flow forecasting, strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and incentive programs, including model updates, maintenance, and communication of results. Perform economic analysis on current and future development projects with recommendations on pricing to improve profitability with an understanding of the market. Prepare monthly financial key performance indicators, including sales, margins, overhead, and other key metrics to identify trends and variances. Support the accounting team as required for accruals, cost assignments, account reconciliation, and payment controls as needed. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including construction, purchasing, and sales, to gather relevant data and insights. Participate in strategic development planning initiatives, including new project evaluations, investment appraisals, and profitability analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the function. Perform other duties, tasks, and responsibilities as assigned by management to support organizational goals and objectives. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in finance or accounting, including a focus on financial analysis. Experience in the construction or real estate industry is a plus. Solid understanding of financial statements and key financial concepts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow). Proven experience developing forecasts, budgets and performing economic analysis. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and actionable way. Experience with leveraging data within business systems to enhance financial analysis, e.g., data retrievals, analysis, and reporting. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and modeling techniques. Experience with QuickBooks Desktop and Buildertrend is a plus.
