Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.Position OverviewWe are looking for a visionary Product Manager to own the evolution of our Workflow and Business Process Management (BPM) capabilities. In this role, you'll drive customer and business value by defining and delivering product strategies and roadmaps that translate market opportunities into measurable outcomes. You’ll partner with customers to compose product-market fit and build deep expertise across the Mendix ecosystem. You'll form partnerships to deliver a portfolio of BPM capabilities that deliver maximum value. This includes AI capabilities as first-class citizens in workflows. You'll lead the product journey from initial conceptualization through launch and beyond, collaborating closely with customers to shape business orchestration capabilities through Mendix's workflow and microflow engines. You bring hands-on experience with how business process/workflow engines are built and operated — not just how they're marketed.Key Responsibilities:Define and communicate the product vision and strategy for Workflow orchestration capabilities, ensuring alignment with business goals and the agentic enterprise vision.Conduct market research and gather customer insights to identify emerging trends, competitive opportunities, and product differentiation in business process orchestration.Develop and prioritize the product roadmap for workflows and micro-flows, balancing customer feedback, technical feasibility, and business impact.Partner directly with engineering on workflow-engine architecture decisions (state management, task assignment, versioning, error handling) — not just feature scoping.Collaborate with engineering, design, and quality assurance teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements to the Workflow portfolio.Partner with sales, marketing, and customer success teams to drive go-to-market strategies and ensure successful product adoption across enterprise customers.Manage product-market fit by closely engaging with key customers and user communities to validate product concepts, gather feedback, and build positive relationships.Supervise product performance metrics and KPIs, using data-driven insights to advise decision-making and optimize product outcomes.Qualifications:Demonstrated product management experience with a proven track record of defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps for platforms, frameworks, or developer experiences.Proven track record building, managing, or architecting a business process management (BPM) or workflow orchestration platform (e.g., Camunda, Pega, IBM BPM, jBPM, Appian).Comfortable reading system/architecture diagrams and discussing trade-offs (e.g., synchronous vs. asynchronous execution, state persistence) directly with engineers.Demonstrated success innovating for and together with customers, including management of product-market fit.Excellent communication and collaborator management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment. Be able to present clear and concisely.Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a passion for understanding customer needs and translating them into product strategy.Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering required; equivalent hands-on technical experience (e.g., prior software engineering role) considered in lieu of degree.Preferred Qualifications:Background in generative AI or agentic AI through education, software development experience, or personal projects.Familiarity with the Mendix platform or low-code development ecosystems.Experience in enterprise software or SaaS product management.Why Us?At Siemens Software, flexibility is how we work—hybrid by default, built on trust and autonomy. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
