Junior Game Designer, Unity

The person in this position will support the design and implementation of game systems, levels, and core mechanics using Unity. Responsibilities include creating and iterating on level layouts, balancing gameplay, documenting design decisions, and collaborating closely with artists and other designers. The role will help adapt designs to different platforms, assist with playtesting sessions, and respond to feedback to refine the player experience. The Junior Game Designer will also contribute to brainstorming new concepts and features that align with Counterspell's playful and experimental approach. Qualifications Foundational skills in Game Design and Level Design, with the ability to translate ideas into engaging gameplay. Understanding of platform-specific considerations for Console and Mobile Games. Basic proficiency with scripting in Unity (C#) is beneficial. Strong collaboration and communication skills, with openness to feedback and iteration. Portfolio or samples demonstrating game or level design work, prototypes, or personal projects. Interest in experimental, cross-disciplinary projects that blend play with other fields.
