Maintenance Technician

Maintenance TechnicianA growing food manufacturing company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maximizing uptime, supporting production goals, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical (480V), mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment.Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and improve reliability.Support production teams with equipment setups, adjustments, changeovers, and troubleshooting.Diagnose issues with motors, pumps, PLCs, HMIs, control systems, and packaging equipment.Follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, and quality standards.Complete maintenance documentation and work orders using computerized maintenance systems.Communicate equipment issues and repair status with operators, supervisors, and maintenance team members.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and operational excellence.Essential Skills3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment.Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.Experience with PLCs, motors, pumps, sensors, and automated equipment.Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance databases, or work order systems.Comfortable working in hot manufacturing environments and around equipment operating up to 480 volts.Additional Skills & QualificationsFood manufacturing experience preferred.Technical training, apprenticeship, or industrial maintenance certification preferred.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Why Work Here?Enjoy competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package, along with generous paid time off, 12 paid holidays, and an extra day off for your birthday. On your first day, you will be introduced to the facility, assigned a lead to shadow for one month, and take part in a Buddy program for support and guidance.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of American Canyon, CA.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
