Senior Fund Accountant

Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented professional to join our team at a private credit fund. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of fund accounting and a strong background in private credit investments. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations and reporting. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the daily accounting operations for the private credit fund, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Prepare and review financial statements, investor reports, and other financial documents. Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors and ensuring timely completion. Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Ensure accurate and timely processing of all fund transactions, including capital calls, distributions, and fee calculations. Collaborate with the investment team to support portfolio management activities and provide financial analysis. Maintain and enhance internal controls and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting private credit funds. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in fund accounting, with a focus on private credit or alternative investments. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
