Payroll Specialist

Base pay range $27.00/hr - $30.00/hr Direct message the job poster from Insight Global Digital/Inbound Sales Manager at Insight Global Insight Global is looking for a Payroll Clerk to support a transit service client of ours in the Woodbridge, VA area. This position is responsible for reviewing, processing and identifying all payroll controls, operating procedures and performance management indexes. This employee will be responsible for facilitating and recommending solutions to problems relating to late processing of payroll documents resulting in incorrect payment of wages. Responsibilities Updates payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, checking/savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfer. Process monthly union pension. Process involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments. Maintains payroll and related records recording the accumulation and use of vacations, PTO, sick days, and misc. leaves of absences. Prepare requests for paycheck advances and processing terminations. Resolve payroll discrepancies. Required skills and experience 3-5+ years of experience in payroll administration and financial systems. Experience processing payroll for unions (preferred). Excellent communication and organizational skills. Able to work on-site M-F 8-5 in Woodbridge, VA and work in the Manassas, VA location at times.
