Production Coordinator

Description

Crain Communications is seeking a Production Coordinator to be a part of our Advertising Solutions team and support all Crain B2B brands. This role helps ensure the seamless execution of sponsored campaigns across Multimedia products (virtual and in-person video, podcasts). The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced media environment.


Location
Will work onsite 3 days a week from one of our larger offices: Chicago, New York City or Detroit. You'll be coming in-office three days a week. Must be able to travel as needed.


Responsibilities

• Assist with the pre-planning, on set, and post-editing coordination of in-person video shoots; may require travel to various industry events.

• Assist with virtual video productions via Riverside, creating recording studios and being present on screen to act as virtual producer

• Support and produce Custom podcast campaigns by creating Virtual recording studios on Riverside, managing timelines, creative assets, and creation of registration/ landing pages.

• Assist with creation of social first content and content series across IG Story, TikTok, and/or YouTube

• Work with Senior Production manager and Multimedia Producers to maintain and update the Production calendars

• Schedule and manage pre- production planning and calls (KOC, content calls if needed, pre-pro tracking documents, set design)

• Manage and review production assets, including sharing post-edit notes with post-production team

• Partner with the Senior Production Manager on case study templates, sizzle reels, and post-campaign materials.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in marketing, advertising, and media production.

• Ability to travel as needed.

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to work under tight timelines when needed.

• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

• Ability to collaborate effectively across internal teams in a deadline-driven environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; project management tools a plus.

This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay.

Pay Transparency Disclosure
The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000.

The final salary offering will take into account experience, accomplishments and location. In addition to base salary, Crain offers competitive benefits, including retirement plan savings contributions and bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance.

Environmental Demands


Where you work matters. The job posting will provide specific information on where and when your amazing work would be performed. Employee work location is determined by the needs of the specific team and may include on-site, hybrid or remote. Employee work location is subject to change.

• An "in-office" role would require the employee to come into the office most days with occasional flexibility to work remotely if tasks can be performed elsewhere and if the manager approves.

Travel to cover news stories/events, meetings with clients, and to our geographically separated offices may be required. Most employees perform work Monday through Friday, although early-morning, evening or weekend shifts may be required. Physical Demands

Physical activities will include frequent in-person or virtual interactions. For most positions, it is essential to be able to remain at a desk/computer workstation for prolonged periods, perform computer-related tasks, and create/maintain documents within filing systems. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing reports and information, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, or extensive reading. The typical physical requirements are light work-exerting up to 25lbs of force occasionally and/or up to 10lbs of force frequently and may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Some positions will have additional physical requirements, including exerting up to 50lbs of force to move and/or carry equipment, supplies, files, or other materials as the role requires.
