Supply Chain Manager

Our client, a Fire Protection Services Company, is looking for a strong Supply Chain Manager (Leader) to own the end-to-end supply chain processes across procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics in a lean, hands-on environment. Have you been a Director or Senior Supply Chain Manager responsible for end-to-end supply chain processes across procurement, inventory, warehousing, and logistics in a lean, hands-on environment? This is a Senior Manager/Director level position. Do you have direct experience in the fire protection industry or experience with control panels, piping, switches, actuators, and valves in a lean manufacturing environment? (Multi-site/hybrid, preferred locations are Houston, Memphis and Denver) The Supply Chain Manager (Leader) will act as the functional owner of NetSuite supply chain modules and process optimizations. Will directly support service technicians, inspections, monitoring, and installation projects. Procurement & Sourcing (Hands-On) Execute sourcing for fire alarm, sprinkler, and suppression components. Drive immediate cost savings Inventory & Materials (Critical Focus Area) Manage inventory across central warehouse and technician van stock Implement min/max and reorder logic in NetSuite Improve inventory turns and reduce excess/obsolete inventory Warehousing (Lean Team Leadership) Implement basic WMS processes within NetSuite Drive inventory accuracy >98% via cycle counting Oversee daily warehouse operations with small team Logistics & Field Replenishment Manage inbound supplier deliveries and outbound shipments to job sites Optimize freight spend with simple carrier strategies NetSuite Ownership & Responsibilities Serve as primary business owner of NetSuite Supply Chain modules Configure and maintain item master (SKUs, units, reorder points, lead times) Implement and manage purchasing workflows (PO approval, catalogs, preferred vendors) Drive adoption of NetSuite inventory modules including bin/location control Establish demand planning and replenishment logic using historical data Support implementation of kitting (for truck stock and installation kits) Enable basic WMS functionality (receiving, picking, transfers) Partner with IT/consultants on system enhancements and integrations Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering. Minimum 5+ years experience across procurement, inventory, and logistics. Strong hands-on experience in small to mid-sized company environment. ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred. Certifications (Preferred) ISM (CPSM) ASCM (CPIM or CSCP) Hands-on operator with strategic mindset. Strong negotiation and supplier management capability. Comfortable working in lean, fast-paced environment. Data-driven with strong Excel/reporting skills. Industry Experience (Preferred) Fire protection systems or construction services. Experience supporting technician-based service models. Familiarity with NFPA-related materials and compliance.
