Civil Engineer, P.E.

We are looking for a driven Civil Engineer who currently holds a Professional Engineer (PE) license. This position offers the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility in the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, while working alongside a team of experienced professionals in a collaborative environment. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Design. Key Responsibilities: Lead and assist in the design of civil engineering projects, including: Land development and site design Transportation and roadway improvements Stormwater management and utility infrastructure Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports. Perform advanced engineering calculations and cost estimates. Utilize design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and other modeling tools. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Participate in project planning, scheduling, and quality control. Prepare to mentor other staff and contribute to team development as experience grows. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution. Certification: PE required. Experience: 5–10 years of civil engineering design experience in a consulting or professional services environment. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; familiarity with hydrology/hydraulic modeling software and GIS tools is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership potential, and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Preferred Experience: Experience with municipal, transportation, or land development projects. Knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes. Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $105,000–$130,000. Paid weekly. Bonus program for each design employee: 10% of the markup of employees’ actual billed hours for the previous month (payable on the second payroll cycle of the following month). End of Year Holiday Bonus: $250 for 1–2 years; $500 for 3–4 years; $1,000 for 5–6 years; $1,500 for 7+ years. 401(k) with a company match up to 4% of monetary compensation (value of benefit estimated at $X in year 1). Company sponsored health‑care plan: company covers 30% of the monthly premium (does not cover any premiums of dependents). Computer and software provided by PWA Properties. Professional liability insurance provided by PWA Properties. Paid holidays: eight company paid holidays per year (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas).
