Human Resources Business Partner Senior Director
Vertex Pharmaceuticals
Vertex Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Director HR Business Partner to lead people strategy for its Data, Technology & AI organization, reporting to the Chief Digital & Information Officer. The role drives organizational effectiveness, talent strategy, and transformation leadership to support enterprise digital and AI initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary HR strategic partner to CDIO and Data/Tech/AI leadership team
- Design and oversee organizational structure, role clarity, and operating mechanisms for the function
- Develop and execute talent strategy for Data/Tech/AI capabilities across enterprise
- Lead change management and adoption of Data/Tech/AI operating model maturation
- Coach senior leaders and drive structured talent reviews and succession planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 12+ years progressive HR experience in technical organizations
- Expertise in organizational design, change leadership, and strategic workforce planning
- Data and analytics fluency; demonstrated experience applying AI to HR workflows
- Deep understanding of Data/Technology/AI operating models and transformation implications
- Proven ability to influence senior executives and connect people decisions to business outcomes
- Experience with succession planning, talent development, and enterprise-level HR strategy
