Senior / Principal Computational Biologist

Cellarity seeks a computational biologist to analyze single-cell omics and patient datasets, identifying disease-associated cellular states and predicting therapeutic compounds. The role involves developing analysis strategies, co-leading drug programs, and collaborating across computational, experimental, and clinical teams. Requires a Ph.D. in biology or related field, 2+ years post-doctoral experience, and expertise in single-cell transcriptomics and Python programming.

Responsibilities

• Apply computational biology and machine learning tools to high-dimensional molecular datasets including scRNA-seq and snRNA-seq disease atlases
• Develop and lead data analysis strategies across diverse biological projects with internal and external stakeholders
• Co-lead computational biology work on drug programs, ensuring study designs and data interrogation deliver high-value results
• Present findings to interdisciplinary teams spanning biologists, chemists, clinicians, and machine learning scientists

Requirements

• Ph.D. or equivalent in biology, computational biology, or related scientific field
• 2+ years of post-Ph.D. experience in relevant computational biology role
• Extensive experience analyzing single-cell transcriptomic data and large-scale atlases
• Demonstrated understanding of molecular and systems biology with diverse data types
• Python programming and scripting skills
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, and independent/collaborative work abilities
