If this sounds like you and you're looking for a new home that rewards excellent work, effort, and collaboration, Barrett is the place for you!The Shipping/Receiving Coordinator, under the direct supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, performs administrative duties in the Shipping/Receiving Department(s).This position works Monday through Friday, from 7am-3:45pm.The compensation for this position is $20/hour.How You'll Make an Impact:Serve as primary point of contact for carriers and internal teams on deliveries/pick-ups, checking drivers in/out, assigning doors, and reviewing dock safety proceduresMonitor and coordinate all inbound/outbound shipments to ensure timely receiving and loadingMaintain accurate shipping/receiving records, including BOLs and order completion via WMS, and ensure all documentation/system transactions are completed correctly and on timeDeliver end-of-day wrap-up communication to Operations leadership on open order issues, escalating operational concerns to facility management as neededPerform other related duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.Minimum of one (1) year of practical work in a warehouse, receiving, or dispatch environment.HazMat receiving and shipping experience preferred.Proficient in all Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Working knowledge of WMS system preferredAbility to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish/English skills preferred).Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Experience must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines.Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and the ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Barrett Distribution Centers is an equal opportunity employer.
