Assistant Zoning Manager

City of Boca Raton Boca Raton, FL United States Under the direction of the Zoning Manager, the Assistant Zoning Manager performs advanced professional, technical, and supervisory work administering and enforcing the City’s Code of Ordinances, Land Development Regulations (LDR), and related land use requirements. The position oversees complex and routine zoning applications, building permits, and business tax and licensing reviews; supervises Zoning Officers and Technicians; and promotes efficient operations and quality customer service. Responsibilities include providing technical guidance, interpreting regulations, resolving complex issues, conducting field inspections, and coordinating with applicants, property owners, residents, and professionals. The position also serves as liaison to advisory boards, presents at public meetings, completes special projects, and serves as the City’s Certified Floodplain Manager.
