Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate injection molding presses to supply downstream equipment with molded components
- Inspect components and request technical support to maintain part quality
- Conduct minor maintenance activities on assigned presses
- Operate multi-cavity injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment to meet quality specs at rated output
- Place surplus molded components into inventory
- Stack boxes and totes, bag materials, and print labels
- Maintain knowledge of all products, raw materials, and quality specifications for the department
- Keep machinery, work area, and floors neat and orderly; comply with GMP requirements
- Perform thorough product inspections and make quality-related decisions
- Work effectively in a team with limited supervision, including covering breaks and call-outs
- Stay familiar with relevant controlled documents (Work Instructions, Forms), PM task lists, and equipment manuals
Experience Required
- 0-5 years; 1-2 years in a manufacturing environment preferred (injection molding - electric & hydraulic - a plus)
Skills & Certifications
- Injection molding press operation (multi-cavity)
- Component/product quality inspection
- Minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with controlled documents, PM schedules, and equipment manuals
- Ability to work independently within a team
Eligibilities & qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Eye exam required
- No drug screening required; candidates can start while background checks are pending
- Able to work a 12-hour day shift schedule, weekends included
