Verification Specialist

We are hiring several Verification Specialists for a company in Greenville, SC. The Verification Specialist is responsible for locating POE (place of employment) assets. Responsibilities include ensuring the company has the correct place of employment for an individual account and calling out to that place of employment and getting verification from a Manager or HR/Personnel if the individual is a current or past employee.



Key Responsibilities:

• Perform outbound calls to employers' HR departments to verify employment status, including:
  • Whether an individual is or was employed at the company
  • Dates of employment
  • Last date worked, if applicable
• Treat the process similarly to a professional reference check-strictly factual verification, not collections activity.
• Spend the majority of the day on the phone verifying employment details with HR teams.
• Maintain a confident, clear, and professional communication style-this role requires a strong phone presence and comfort with high call volumes.
• Accurately record all information obtained during verifications in the company's internal systems.
• Receive a daily list of consumers to investigate - no need to generate or source leads independently.
• Research each assigned individual, uncover necessary employment details, and provide complete, verified information back to the Investigations team.

• Understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, OneNote).
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be flexible within multiple work types and enjoy working with staff of all levels.
• Average analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
• Must be punctual and reliable.
• Must be comfortable with meeting strict deadlines and KPIs.

• $18/hour
• Temp-to-perm
