Warehouse Clerk (Part-Time)

Warehouse ClerkPerforms a variety of receiving clerk, general warehouse functions as well as processes the Casino's mail and maintains office, mailroom, and/or other Company equipment; performs general clerical functions.The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.Essential Job Functions:Receives product deliveries and unloads supply trucks; inspecting goods for compliance to quality standards, such as expiration dates, physical appearance, packaging, and freshness; comparing items ordered to purchase order and vendor invoice, noting discrepancies and resolving in accordance with established policies and procedures.Monitors food products received, taking temperatures and weighing product as required and recording in appropriate logbooks, and storing items in designated warehouse areas.Pulls inventory from storage locations to fill orders for Food & Beverage outlets, stacks and organizes product to prevent damage, facilitate check-in by F&B personnel, and ensure stability.Delivers and distributes various types of goods to departments and/or users, including marketing promotional items as well as office supplies.Receives and delivers secured items according to compliance regulations.Coordinates return of merchandise to vendor ensuring proper documentation for credit due.Keeps the warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and rotated; perform minimal maintenance within warehouse facilities and requesting assistance from Facilities as needed.Processes, prepares, and maintains receiving documentation, including transfer entries into Eatec; audit documents to ensure accuracy in recording transactions.Conducts physical inventories and assists in maintaining adequate supply levels by storing all items in the designated, assigned location, and positioned so that products are easily identifiable.The following job functions are performed on a rotation basis only:Provides internal and external USPS mail services to the Casino.Provides internal distribution of priority envelopes, parcels, and packagesProcesses shipping requests for UPS, FedEx, and DHL-AirborneProcesses and meters direct mail pieces for MarketingProcesses and meters bulk mail as well as metering and mail services for various departments, including Human Resources and Accounts Payable.Conducts morning, afternoon, and/or evening mail runs.Drops off and retrieves mail from the post office, Casino mailrooms and the Human Resources Department.Sorts and delivers envelopes, packages, and correspondence.Tracks shipped items and sends delivery confirmations to senders.Monitors and maintains mailroom equipment and supplies; orders office supplies.Places all orders for copier paper and schedules distribution drops at copiers upon receipt.Provides support for Forms and Retention Administrator forms management.Orders and stocks all forms in mailroom areas and maintains hard copy, master copy folders.Assists Forms and Retention Administrator with movement and storage of administration records.Spirit Mountain Standards:Delivers Spirit Mountain's Spirit of Excellence by consistently modeling attitudes and behaviors in alignment with SMGI's Pride Values, Brand Promise, and Business Vision.Learns, comprehends, and complies with all Company and departmental policies and procedures, MICS, gaming regulations, and Regulation Chapter 5 requirements.Follows all Corporate and departmental safety policies and procedures.Required Knowledge of:Warehouse operations, equipment, methods of operation, and safety protocols.Receiving principles, practices, and procedures.Food and beverage operations, including proper handling, storage, and safety practicesReceiving documentation and automated inventory control systems.MICS and Regs regarding treatment of secured items.Corporate wide office hours of operation and receiving policies & procedures.Mailroom operations, policies, and procedures.United State Postal Service regulations.Standards governing the processing of mail.Mailroom equipment and methods of operation.General office equipment and standard computer software applicationsRequired Skill in:Performing a variety of receiving clerk functions.HACCP program processes and procedures.Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment.Preparing and maintaining receiving documentation and records.Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with others.Conducting mail runs and accurately processing Casino mail.Maintaining compliance with regulations governing the processing of mail.Operating and maintaining mailroom and general office equipment.Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications:High School Diploma or equivalent, one(1) year mailroom experience one (1) year warehouse or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.High volume food and beverage warehouse or kitchen restaurant experience preferred.High security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.Must possess current Food Handlers certification or able to obtain one within 90 days of employment.Forklift certification and/or experience is required.Must successfully pass physical capacity testing (pre-employment physical)Must be 21 years of age or older.Valid State of Oregon Driver's License is required.Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements:Work is performed in a warehouse environment with frequent exposure to temperature changes, extreme cold when working inside coolers and freezers, equipment operation, and general warehouse hazards.Work is subject to frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 30 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally, pushing and pulling rolling carts regularly loaded with an average of 600 pounds, and occasional sitting.Work is performed in an office and mailroom environment with intermittent exposure to tobacco smoke and noise common to gaming environmentsEquipment and Tools Utilized:Equipment utilized includes personal computer, standard office equipment, pallet jacks, postage meters, mail carts, department vehicles and forklifts.Equal Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
