Information Systems Security Manager

The Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) is a critical member of the Honeywell Aerospace Security Organization, ensuring compliance with the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) and interfacing with senior representatives to clarify and resolve security requirements. The ISSM is primarily responsible for maintaining the overall security posture of the systems within Honeywell Aerospace Security and for implementing the RMF. The ISSM serves as the principal advisor on all technical and non‑technical matters involving the security of systems under their purview, handling day‑to‑day operations and responding to security incidents. You will report directly to our cybersecurity leadership and work out of our Clearwater, Florida location on a 100% on‑site schedule. In this role you will directly impact the security posture of aerospace systems by developing and enforcing cybersecurity policies, conducting risk assessments, and leading incident response efforts, safeguarding the safety and integrity of modern aerospace technologies. Responsibilities Prepare, implement, and submit Information System Security Plans and Protection Profiles using eMASS. Work closely with local DCSA Representatives and government Information System Security Professionals (ISSP) to achieve system accreditation and maintain compliance with NISPOM and customers. Conduct regular audits to ensure systems operate securely and policies are implemented as defined in security plans. Provide technical and user support for standalone and network systems. Prepare materials for computer security education and awareness programs. Investigate computer security violations and incidents, reporting as necessary to management. Direct ISOs under their purview to follow established system policies and procedures. Serve as System Administrator for Microsoft Windows environments. Required Qualifications U.S. citizenship. DOD Secret Security Clearance at the time of hire. 10+ years of experience in an industrial security program and knowledge of DoD or other government security regulatory manuals. 5+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary teams and assignments. 5+ years of experience working with RMF processes under 32 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 117 and in‑depth knowledge of the DCSA Assessment and Authorization Guide (DAAG). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field. System administration experience with Windows Server and Windows 10/11. Experience with object‑oriented programming languages such as C#. Knowledge or experience with networking, security, domains, servers, and certificates. Ability to act as a resource on security policies and procedures. Strong presentation skills and comfort interacting with senior‑level management. Project management skills with an emphasis on timely task completion and risk assessment. Effective written and oral communication with all levels of personnel. Team‑orientation and ability to thrive in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment. Excellent organizational skills, prioritization, and flexibility.
