Job Title Maintenance Technician, Multifamily The Laura ( Job Description Summary The Maintenance Technician provides support and is accountable for delivering on our commitments to our residents. This includes quality move‑ins, residential satisfaction, expedited service, and personal attention to the resident. The Technician responds to our residents' service needs and is instrumental in helping deliver superior customer service to our residents. Responsibilities Prepare make‑ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping duties, and any necessary tasks to provide residents with a quality move‑in experience. Respond to resident requests in a timely manner with a professional attitude. Serve as the first point of contact for resident service needs, ensuring expedited and superior customer service. Have knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, general carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable). Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to keep them clean, operational, and safe. Be on call as needed to respond to after‑hour emergencies. Report any maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor. Perform maintenance as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor. Participate in training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times, dressing per company uniform and appearance standards. Maintain safety procedures and safeguard all company tools and equipment. Achieve high productivity through reliable and punctual on‑site attendance and report any tardiness or attendance issues to the immediate supervisor. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned. Competencies Valid driver's license. EPA 608 certification – Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate. Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to prepare and interpret bar graphs. Ability to solve problems involving several known variables in routine situations. Ability to utilize common sense and follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions. Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) in all units of measure. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Follow all safety procedures. Work in a high‑temperature or cold environment and lift up to 100pounds occasionally or frequently. Education & Experience High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school. 1+ years of related experience. Work Environment This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. The technician will regularly travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions. Physical Demands Stand and walk for extended periods. Ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools. Travel outside between buildings and properties up to 10% of the time. Perform tasks requiring 85% stationary time (sit or stand). Lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 100pounds occasionally, frequently, or constantly. Compensation Salary range: $23.80 – $28.00 per hour.
