Description - Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of routine and complex clinical laboratory tests-covering fields like chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while adhering to established protocols.
• Evaluate test results for precision, troubleshoot any inconsistencies, and perform necessary maintenance and calibration on laboratory instruments.
• Assist with specimen collection and prepare samples for analysis as required.
• Detail all procedures meticulously, train incoming staff or students, and maintain laboratory quality standards.
• Ensure a safe and clean workspace while aligning with regulatory and accreditation requirements.

Education Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or an equivalent allied health degree along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications Needed

• A Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) from ASCP or AMT, to be obtained within one year of hiring.
• Keep your certification current for the duration of your employment.
